Our Story
Our story began in October 2021 thanks to Hinge (a dating app). A first date at Union Street Grill in Newton, Massachusetts, was all it took for them both to feel they had found the person they wanted to share their life with. Love blossomed quickly, and by October 2022 they were already living together.
Over the next three years, they enjoyed unforgettable adventures exploring destinations like New York, Seattle, North Carolina, Colorado, and Vermont. Finally, in January 2024, they decided to take the big step and got married at Somerville City Hall, surrounded by their favorite people and by others who, though far away, were there through a video call.
That same year was full of very special moments. In June, David traveled to Colombia for the first time to meet and embrace Maira’s family, and in December both families came together to celebrate an unforgettable Christmas. Later, in 2025, they shared a spectacular vacation with Maira’s parents in the Dominican Republic.
As their love kept growing, so did the dreams they began to build together. Recently they fulfilled one of the most important ones by buying their first home. A place that marks the start of a new chapter and of the countless memories they’ll create as a family.
This home means so much more than a house; it’s the space where they’ll share laughter and celebrations, welcome their loved ones, and keep building the life they always imagined. They feel deeply grateful and excited for this new chapter and everything still to come.
Today, with hearts full of gratitude for the journey they’ve shared, they’d love to invite their family and friends to celebrate their love. It would mean the world to have you there as they receive God’s blessing and renew their commitment before the Church.
They can’t wait to celebrate together with you!
